Financial Analyst (Co-op)

Description

North Horizon Holdings is a Canadian institutional investor with a global investment footprint. We are value-oriented investors in private equity, venture capital, public markets and real estate.
 
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintain the books of fund managers, investment funds and their associated entities including drafting & booking journals to accounting systems (eg.FIS, GP Dynamics).
2. Assist with quarter-end and year-end close processes.
3.Organize and maintain supporting documentation for accounting treatments..
4. Support the preparation of financial statements and related reports.
5.Stay updated on accounting standards, including ASPE, IFRS, and NI 81-106
6. Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and research as needed.
7. Collaborate with other departments to support finance-related initiatives.

Requirements:
1. Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. 
2. Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
4. Ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment, with strong attention to detail and thoroughness.
5. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and suggest improvements
7.Available to begin the role in January 2026, with an expected commitment of approximately 8 months.
