Fund Operation Analyst
Description
North Horizon Holdings is a Canadian Family Office with a global investment footprint. We are value-oriented investors in private equity, venture capital, public markets and real estate.
The Operation Analyst is primarily accountable for oversight of the daily operation, records and filing, reporting and provide necessary operational support for front office in real estate and private equity/venture capital investment.
What will you do?
- Review and manage transactions records, utilize different investment management software/systems to book records properly.
- Audit and check the accuracy and consistency of cash outflow and inflow of different investment teams.
- Assist front office in fund budgeting and planning.
- Assist with the quarterly PE fund/Real Estate deal valuation process.
- Make sure the accuracy and security of important documents of investment, especially legal instruments, org chart, investment memo.
- Oversee the investment process to guarantee all investment teams strictly follow our internal control and compliance policies.
- Reconcile and analyze investment data of different asset types to generate monthly/quarterly reports and financial statement in terms of management needs.
- Help improve back-office operational policy to standardize and streamline the process.
- Perform ad-hoc tasks including but not limited to coordinating meetings, translation and operational legal tasks relating to deal closing.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Statistics.
- Minimum 2 years of work experience in the financial industry (experience in real estate investment or PE/VC investment preferred). Experience in fund administration, accounting or operations is highly preferred.
- Ability to manage and analyze investment data using Excel Pivot Tables, Excel VBA, Power BI, SharePoint, and Backstop (training will be provided).
- Proficiency in the MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, and Visio) for generating various reports.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Chinese, both oral and written, with the ability to draft reports and prepare presentation materials in both languages.
- Strong knowledge of the financial industry and business operations.
- Efficient coordination, organizational, and time management skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team and build rapport with different internal departments.
- High attention to detail; accountable and reliable.
Nice to Have
- Strong data processing skills to identify, clean, analyze and interpret data using various data analytics tools.
- Knowledge of compliance policy, legal entities establishment and tax filling of fund investment or real estate investment in North America.
